Kate Middleton in Vanity Fair's best dressed list

Kate Middleton, who is currently the darling of the fashion scene, has been named one of the best dressed women in the world with Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy by Vanity Fair magazine. Duchess of Cambridge has been hailed for mixing high end brands with street trends by the magazine in its 72nd annual International Best Dressed list. Vanity Fair has praised her signature style of Issa wrap dresses and her Alexander McQueen wedding dress. "A whirlwind of fashion successes since has earned her a nod this year. She's captivated the world with her signature mix of high and low fashion," the magazine said.

It is Middleton's second appearance on the list after 2008 but first as a British royal.
Michelle and Barack Obama also make their first appearance together on the Best-Dressed Couples list. Bruni-Sarkozy appears on the 72nd list for the fourth time but President Nicolas Sarkozy does not make the cut. The list is not ranked in any order. Other royals on the list include Princess Charlene of Monaco, the new wife of Prince Albert, and Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, the wife of the Emir of Qatar and a UNESCO special envoy. From Hollywood actors Justin Timberlake, Colin Firth, and Armie Hammer and actresses Carey Mulligan and Tilda Swinton have made it to the list.
