Helena Bonham Carter is as disastrous a dresser as she is brilliant an actress. The 44-year-old, nominated for a best supporting actress in "The King's Speech," is a woman for whom the word "kooky" seems to have been invented, the kind who could make Björk and Cher shake their heads ruefully and ask, "You're going out in that?" Poor old Helena is forever landing on the worst dressed lists - but it appears she has one very important fashion fan -- leaked pictures show the Oscar-nominated actress is to appear in a new advertising campaign for Marc Jacobs.
Wearing a pink sequined dress, pill-box hat and polka-dot tights, Helena looks every inch the style icon. And she's in illustrious company, joining the ranks of Victoria Beckham and Sofia Coppola, who have also posed for the U.S. designer. So could it be that the world is coming around to Helena's charms? Vivienne Westwood has always adored the 45-year-old's eccentricity and last year Vanity Fair praised her 'exquisite self-expression'. But there's one person who won't care, and that's Helena herself. 'Sometimes i get it wrong,' she says. 'But fashion is all about having fun.'
