Kate Moss; These days, the 37 year-old fashion icon doesn't just wear the latest trends, she sets them too. Here's how to model yourself on Kate, with my high street bargains.

She's graced the top of best-dressed lists, created her own clothing line for Topshop and sparked numerous style trends over the years. We study the zipper length on the insides of her skinny jeans (long enough to be Superfines?), we count the leopard spots on her ballerinas (Lanvin?), we scrutinize the satin trim on her tank top (Hanro?), and we dissect the hardware on her Birkin bag (palladium?). Sometimes, I feel as if I’ve spent an embarrassingly large portion of my life gazing at pictures and wondering "How on earth does she do it?"

Kate Moss, women have all accepted, is a goddess, a fallen fashion angel, who always looks incredible, even when she had skanky Pete Doherty on her arm. Sadly, very few of us can successfully wear some of her more challenging looks, but by God, we're trying. Skinny jeans tucked into boots? Check. Tiny waistcoat? Check. Big scarf and even bigger handbag? Check. Supermodel figure and angelic features? Ah... therein lies the problem. But even though we may not, like Kate, have won the genetic lottery we can still learn a lot from her effortless approach to style.
And the good news is that it’s easy to get Kate’s uber chic look at a fraction of the cost. Check out my gallery of Kate’s wardrobe essentials.

Sunglasses, £15/E20 at Next

As a huge fan of big Jackie O-style shades, Kate seems to have a new pair for every occasion. This summer she has mostly been wearing Givenchy, but she is also a big fan of Oliver Peoples, and has been occasionally spotted in Ray Bans.

Lipsy, leopad coat, £95/E110

There aren't many women capable of pulling off a leopard-spot coat teamed with a yellow dress, red bag and black shoes, and still look fabulous. But Kate is certainly one of them. If you're ready to get your claws into her stunning style, pick up a leopard-print coat for -£95/ €110 we're sure Miss Moss would approve. At Lipsy

Marks and Spencer Shorts, £12/E20

Any fashion lover knows that shorts, in all their permutations, are this summer's trend. So trust Kate Moss, perpetual style icon and designer muse, to put her own spin on the look. The recent comeback star has been spotted all over London and New York wearing her very, very abbreviated takes on shorts dressing. One day, she pairs them with a cream cardigan and Kelly bag, like a modern-day Lady Who Lunches; the next, she's all rock 'n' roll, strutting her stuff in teeny-tiny denim cutoffs and fire engine-red booties. But whichever Kate comes out, it's clear Moss has a leg up on all of us - by quite a few inches. I'm loving this cute pair - a steal at only  £12/ €20

IDOL over the knee boot in black £59.99/€79.99,New Look

Those in the premiership of the fashion world know that nothing but Manolo Blahniks will do. Kate's knee boots are achingly chic, but the pounds 700 price tag is equally painful. For a more affordable take on this season's must-have slip on this pair from New Look - a snip at only £79.99

Grey skinny jeans, £15/ E20 at bonprix
Kate was once quoted as saying she only wears Sass and Bide denim.
And being the world's most famous skinny-jeans wearer, she should know the best to pick. But for those of us who can't quite afford the designer labels - these look just as good but at a fraction of the cost.

Grey wool waistcoat, £5.00/E8.00 at Pennys

Kate Moss's waistcoats have been part of her uniform since she first wore a black one at Glastonbury six years ago with shorts and wellies. The supermodel has barely been out of one since, often teamed with skinny jeans and a white vest. This one is seriously chic and cheap at only £5.00!

Trilby, £24/E34 at Accessorize

Hats have overtaken sunglasses as a celeb favourite for going undercover. Brilliant for hiding behind (or getting noticed as we suspect is actually the case) this season's favourite style is the trilby. Embrace this trend because it's fabulous for covering up bad hair days and a hat is just the thing to keep you warm when temperatures drop. Oh, and you never know, somebody might even mistake you for Kate Moss.Trilby £22/€34,Accessorize

Oversized Shopper, A/Wear
 €35 £30.

As the face of Longchamps latest campaign, it's no surprise that Kate completes her outfit with a tan bag that works well with her boho roots. Those of us who  might prefer to save ourselves pounds 2,000 and snap up this alternative from A/Wear instead - a steal at only  €35 £30.

Crafted Skull Chiffon Scarf ,£16.99/€20
Republic
Kate always finishes off her daytime with a statment scarf. I love this skull version from Republic .Perfect.
